FORM 2 GO TO A MEDIEVAL FAYRE

Henry Class Picture on 13 June 001

Form 2 went back over a 1000 years in time for their transition lesson to Main School in History today.

They entered a world of peasants, knights, gruel and rats as they experienced life in the Middle Ages. During their time at the Fayre they sampled traditional food (Bread with "sawdust", "Ale"- as water was undrinkable due to diseases!, and currant cake - only for the Lords though!), spoke to some villagers about their jobs (many thanks to our Form 3 helpers for this!), and witnessed a jousting competition. They enjoyed their time at the Fayre, but were glad to return to a time of electricity, washing machines and takeaways. An exciting way to experience how Humanities is taught in Main School, ready for their first year in September!
