Most of today was spent in the stunningly beautiful 'La Pedriza' National Park.
We walked for about an hour to a natural pool which is surrounded by woodland and the huge granite boulders which make up the foothills of the Guadarrama Mountain Range.
It was a good 10 degrees or so cooler than yesterday because of the altitude (about 1,300m) and there was a gentle cool breeze.
The children loved exploring and playing in the pool before the walk back down.
We have another day in school tomorrow morning before visiting the village of Manzanares at its famous castle.
