Six of the best engineers that Yarlet had to offer were sent to Repton to attempt to complete two challenges to aid the Syrian refugees.
The first was to build a meter high water tower, with only limited resources of art straws and tape. The second task followed a delicious lunch at Latham house, which had every pudding imaginable on offer! Pupils had to construct a vehicle to negotiate a course of obstacles including ramps, boulders and tunnels. Whilst our team made a valiant effort, they did not quite manage to win the task. However, they were a credit to the school and I hope they will enjoy the wonderful science prizes that they were given by Repton.
