FORM 6'S SIKH EXPERIENCE

U9 Fixture at Smallwood and F6 in Classroom 001

On Wednesday, Form 6 were given the opportunity to experience a typical Sikh kitchen as part of their studies in Religious Studies on Places of Worship.

The Gurdwara (a Sikh place of worship) contains a langar, or kitchen, which serves free food to people from all walks of life, regardless of race, age, gender or religion.

Form 6 discussed how we can show and share equality, and how Sikhs provide for all, whilst sampling some traditional Punjabi cuisine and listening to some authentic Punjabi music.

Form 6 decided that we can all take a leaf from Sikhism's book by demonstrating kindness, fairness and hospitality for all.
