OLD YARLETIAN SEEKS TO FORGE CAREER IN FINANCE

Matthew Hall

We have recently been in contact with Matthew Hall, an Old Yarletian who left Yarlet School in 2009, where he moved onto Denstone College, and has recently graduated from the University of Exeter.
Matthew remembers fondly the theatre trips Mr Millington took him on to Stratford, and was fascinated by the acting skills of David Tennant playing Hamlet at the Globe Theatre.
He recollects playing Emile De Becque in the school production of South Pacific, where he gained an early inspiration for public speaking.
Following this inspiration, Matthew became a member of the Youth Parliament for Stafford and South Staffordshire, representing the voices and opinions of over 28,000 young adults!
Matthew went on to study Politics at the University of Exeter, and joined RBS in London immediately after graduating on a topical remediation project.
He intends to travel for a year, then return to Finance and perhaps enter the political arena again.
