On Wednesday the Under 9s attended a seven aside rugby festival at Birchfield.
The event was much anticipated, with the Form 3 and 4 boys apparently discussing little else this week, much to the eventual chagrin of their tutors! The boys clearly relished the opportunity of 'mixing it up' with players from other schools, and it was fantastic to see lessons learned in training being put into practise in match situations. Pick of the team were Rohan Sheldon, Max Whittingham, Henry Pickering and Oliver Connell, although all involved contributed fully, both on the pitch and through their exemplary and sportsmanlike behaviour. Special thanks must go the to the Birchfield officials, the visiting parents for their strident and indefatigable support and finally to Mrs Whittingham for her help with transport. We look forward with great excitement to our next fixture on Tuesday the 17th March away at The Ryleys.
