UNDER 10S ROUNDERS MATCH V BEECH HALL

Girls Rounders 1

On Wednesday 24 June we played a visiting team from Beech Hall, one innings of 30 good balls.

We batted first but unfortunately our opposition's donkey-drops were very hard to hit and many of us struggled to make contact. Fortunately, Jemima got the hang of it and easily scored two whole rounders from cracking hits behind first base. Harriet managed a very sneaky half rounder at 2nd, along with Evi and Grace D, who were taking great risks. Luckily for us, Beech Hall gave away 5½ rounders from no balls which mounted up our score to 10½ at the end of the innings.
We fielded tightly, showing our opposition how it's done by making 2 catches out of the first 3 balls; well done Grace D and Evi. Jemima and Kirstie were on form again, stumping out many players on their bases. Finally, on ball 18 of 30, with only 2 players left in, Jessica H stumped the box and put the whole side out!
Well done U10. The final score was 10½ - 1. Another fantastic win Yarlet!
