Yarlet School | U11 RUGBY TOURNAMENT AT PACKWOOD

U11 RUGBY TOURNAMENT AT PACKWOOD

U11 Rugby Tournament at Packwood 24 Feb

This was the tournament that saw Ben make two immense tries, Joe rally his team to try their best, Sam supporting terrifically, and Mackenzie losing a tooth.

Our U11 boys played a series of short matches against a huge host of schools from across the country, including Packwood, Terra Nova, Henry VIII and Magdalene.

Whilst they may not have won the games they played, all players showed a good attitude and worked hard during the matches to defend, tackle, evade and push forwards. It was in the first match against Magdalene School that Ben Eden found a gap in the opposition's line, making a dash from the quarter line all the way to the try line, and doing this a second time beautifully that put Yarlet in a close loss at 15-10 full-time.

The consequent matches saw all players working together to push the opposition back. Jamie ducked and weaved, Victor pushed and charged, Charlie supported and rallied, Jon sprinted and didn't give in. Joe and Sam worked to support their players, Ben used his cross-country skills to full advantage, and Mackenzie helped and tackled well.

A great afternoon of sport, wrapped up with a good helping of hot dogs!
